How much does the milk price rise on average in June?

De Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator in which 7 Dutch milk processors participate, once again only shows price increases for the month of June. How much does the average milk price rise?

It is the third consecutive month in which all participating dairy processors have only announced price increases. This naturally causes an increase in the average milk price. In June the average basic milk price was €36,32 per 100 kilos. This is calculated at 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein and a delivery of 1 million kilos per year.

Compared to the average milk price for the month of May, the basic milk price has increased by €0,68. The increase is therefore less significant than in April and May; then there was a plus of €1,02.

Basic milk prices are creeping closer together
There are no changes in the ranking of the basic milk price in June. However, the milk prices of the dairy processors are creeping closer together and the distance between the highest and the lowest price is decreasing. FrieslandCampina retains the leading position with a milk price of €37,23 per 100 kilos and Vreugdenhil closes the price comparator at €35,33. The difference between the two prices for June therefore amounts to €1,90. In May the difference between the highest and lowest milk price was still €2,13.

Ranking maximum milk price unchanged
The average maximum milk price (including premiums and allowances) has also increased by €0,68 and for June is €39,94 per 100 kilos, which is just below the €40 limit. This is again calculated at 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein and a delivery of 1 million kilos on an annual basis.

There are no changes in the ranking of the maximum milk price in June. A-ware still has the highest maximum milk price in the comparator at €42,73 per 100 kilos. Cono follows with a milk price of €42,22 and FrieslandCampina is still in third place at €40,73. Bel is exactly in the middle in fourth place with a price of €39,46. At €38,74, Arla is just above DOC Cheese, which has risen to €38,74. Vreugdenhil closes the price comparator at 36,83.
