FrieslandCampina makes a small plus on the milk price for August. However, the increase does not completely erase the July cut. The organic milk price is taking a bigger step up.
FrieslandCampina sets the guaranteed price for August at €37,75 per 100 kilos. The guaranteed price applies to standard contents of 3,57% protein, 4,42% fat and 4,53% lactose, excluding VAT. The amounts apply to an average annual supply of 850.000 kilos of milk. The price increases by €0,25 compared to the July guaranteed price. At the time, the price was further reduced, according to FrieslandCampina as a result of reference milk prices that were estimated too high in the previous period. The dairy cooperative expects a stable development of the milk price in the coming months.
In Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator FrieslandCampina's basic milk price increases to €36,98 per 100 kilos. This is calculated at 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. This means that the dairy cooperative is currently taking the lead in the price comparator. The maximum milk price is €40,48. Only 2 milk prices for August have been announced, so anything can change in the price comparator.
Organic milk price
FrieslandCampina's organic guaranteed price will increase by €1,50 to €50,50 per 100 kilos for August. This is calculated based on 3,57% protein, 4,42% fat excluding VAT and an annual supply of 550.000 kilos. In the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator increases the organic milk price to €49,74 per 100 kilos with 4,41% fat, 3,47% protein and an annual supply of 500.000 kilos.
