How much does the milk price rise on average in July?
The average milk price from the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator also rose further in July. However, the increase has leveled off compared to previous months. Have dairy processors risen or fallen in the price comparison?

In the previous months the average milk price from Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator generally increased, because all participating dairy processors implemented milk price increases. The average milk price also increased in July, but less sharply. This is because not all dairy processors have implemented increases.
Price increases level off further
In May, the average milk price increased by €1,02, but the rate of price increase already decreased in June. At the time, the price increased by €0,68. In July there was still a plus and the price rose by €0,18 to €37,50 per 100 kilos. But the increase has leveled off considerably. The average milk price is calculated at 4,42% fat and 3,57% protein and a delivery of 1 million kilos on an annual basis.
The change in FrieslandCampina's milk price has limited the average increase. FrieslandCampina reduced the milk price by €0,50 and was the only dairy processor to implement a decrease. The milk price of Cono Kaasmakers, Royal A-ware and Arla remained stable and therefore did not contribute to the increase in the average milk price. The increase comes from the milk price development of DOC Kaas, Bel Leerdammer and Vreugdenhil. These dairy processors increased the milk price by €0,90, €0,58 and €0,22 per 100 kilos.
Basic milk price FrieslandCampina is no longer in the lead
Due to FrieslandCampina's reduction, it will lose its leading position in the price comparator. FrieslandCampina drops 2 places and is listed below DOC Kaas and Bel Leerdammer for July, although the distance between them is no more than €0,15. A-ware and Arla are not far behind and are in fifth and sixth place. Vreugdenhil closes the price comparator.
Maximum milk price
In the price comparator, there are hardly any shifts in the ranking for the maximum milk price. A-ware still has the highest maximum milk price, followed by Cono. Both leave their competitors behind by a considerable distance. The milk prices of FrieslandCampina and Bel have moved closer together. DOC Kaas is the only one to have risen one spot and is in fifth place, at the expense of Arla, which has fallen to sixth place. Vreugdenhil closes the milk price comparator.
