Arla Foods itself communicates a milk price for September of €35,55 per 100 kilos of milk at 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein, including premiums for quality, VLOG and climate. Compared to the advance payment for August, this is a decrease of €1,05 per 100 kilos. This is the first price drop at Arla since December 2020. The milk price has remained stable or increased throughout 2021. The downward correction appears to be a consequence of the dairy market under pressure in the second half of July and the first weeks of August. Only in the past 2 weeks have the DCA dairy quotations visibly improved.
