Milcobel gives the September price a small push up. This does not make it the highest payer in Belgium, but there is still music in the milk price.
The latest increase brings the milk price based on legal contents to €34,50 per 100 liters. In August that was €34,25. According to Milcobel, the new increase brings the actual price paid to €37,14 per 100 liters. With an annual supply of 650.000 liters.
Only for loyal members
The price mentioned only applies to loyal Milcobel members, though. Anyone who has indicated that he or she wants to leave will be paid 30 cents less per 100 liters of milk.
Competitor Royal A-ware increased the September milk price with 75 cents and, according to figures from the Belgian Farmers' Association, this results in a price of €38,15 per 100 liters. According to the Boerenbond, players such as FrieslandCampina, Farmel and LDA also pay more milk money. In the meantime, Arla is lagging behind and is below Milcobel's price.
