Arla itself publishes a milk price for October of €36,13 per 100 kilos at 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein. This is €0,58 per 100 kilos higher than the milk price for September. Arla was one of the few dairy groups in the Netherlands that reduced the milk price for September, by €1,05 per 100 kilos.

In Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator the basic milk price is Arla works out at €35,90 per 100 kilos with 4,42% fat, 3,57% protein and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. This is €0,59 per 100 kilos more than in September. According to Arla, this increase is in line with the still positive dairy market. The company expects this market to remain good for some time to come.

Last month's reduction seemed a strange step in that respect, but Arla decided to incorporate the significantly increased costs of the last year into the milk price, with a tangible effect. In the Milk Price Comparator, Arla therefore lags behind most dairy companies in terms of payment.

The maximum possible achievable milk price of Arla, including all allowances and premiums, is €38,51 per 100 kilos at 4,42% fat, 3,57% protein and an annual supply of 1 million kilos in the Milk Price Comparator for October. This is also €0,59 higher than in September.

Arla is the first of the major European dairy companies to publish a new milk price every month. In terms of basic payout price, the company lags slightly behind FrieslandCampina. FrieslandCampina will announce the milk price for October next Monday.
