DOC Kaas joins in row of price increases in October

DOC Kaas and parent company DMK increase their milk price for the month of October. They are therefore in line with the movement initiated by Arla and FrieslandCampina, but are increasing less than the latter.

DOC Kaas itself reports an increase in the milk price of €0,54 from €40,29 to €40,83 per 100 kilos as maximum. In the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator the basic milk price increases by €0,53 to €37,95 per 100 kilos.

The pasture milk price, the milk price plus grazing allowance, is included in the comparison Boerenbusiness works out at €39,70 per 100 kilos. That is €0,53 less than FrieslandCampina pays for October, including grazing. This company has therefore increased the October price by €1,50. FrieslandCampina has been slightly behind DOC Cheese in terms of pasture milk price in recent months. Compared to Arla, DOC Kaas still pays a considerably higher pasture milk price. For the new month the difference is €1,90 per 100 kilos.

The maximum milk price of DOC Cheese for October is €40,70 per 100 kilos.
