Qlip apologizes for measuring too much authority

1 October 2021 - Klaas van der Horst

Milk inspector Qlip may not call the checks he carries out in the context of KoeAlert and checking for 'milk from healthy cows' 'official checks'.

The organization had to send a recovery message to dairy farmers and also vets whom it approached by letter. It could create confusion with controls that derive directly from European directives. That appearance must be avoided.

Qlip could not be reached for further comment yesterday. Although the inspection organization originates from the COKZ, which carries out a number of inspection tasks in dairy and dairy farming on behalf of the NVWA, Qlip is a private organization. Official control is reserved for governments.
