September brings the average dairy farmer 40 euros

The average dairy farmer improved 4 times as much in terms of extra milk money in September than in the previous month. As a result, a milk price of about €40,00 per 100 kilos was received over the past month.

This is evident from the figures Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator. The average milk price, including allowances for sustainability and grazing - the category that includes more than 80% of all dairy farmers - amounts to €39,57 per 100 kilos in September. That is €0,97 per 100 kilos more than the comparable average for August. in that month the average milk price increased by €0,26 compared to July.

The highest individual price was achieved by Vreugdenhil, with a price of €42,90 per 100 kilos. However, this includes a winter milk surcharge of €3,90 per 100 kilos. The highest milk price was achieved at Cono, where €43,61 was paid per 100 kilos. Arla paid the most modest milk price for September.

The milk prices mentioned are exclusive of VAT and apply after deduction of a deduction of €0,05 cents per 100 kilos for ZuivelNl. An annual supply of 1 million kilos is also assumed.
