Arla has increased the milk price for November by €1,00, but still has some catching up to do compared to most Dutch processors.

The originally Scandinavian processor also increases the organic milk price, but by a smaller amount than the current milk price. Arla itself records a milk price of €50,58 per 100 kilos for November, Boerenbusiness works out at €52,46 per 100 kilos (+€0,61).

On average, the organic milk price has risen much more slowly this year than the conventional milk price. Arla has not increased the organic milk price in all countries where the cooperative is active.

Organic milk price in UK unchanged

In Great Britain, the organic milk price remains unchanged from October to November. According to a spokesperson, the organic sales market there has not yet recovered from the COVID period.

The current milk price will increase by €1,00 everywhere in Arla's operating area. According to Arla, the price can be increased due to the tight availability of milk and good prices on the dairy market. Prices also have to rise, because production costs for dairy farmers have also risen sharply.
