Eko-Holland gives organic milk price a small plus
Suppliers' cooperative Eko-Holland is increasing the advance milk price for organic milk for the month of November by 50 cents per 100 kilos. The biodynamic milk price remains the same.

Members of Eko-Holland will receive a price of €52,50 per 100 kilos in November. The price was stable at €52,00 per 100 kilos over the previous three months. The biodynamic milk price has been stable for eight months.
Eko-Holland's organic milk price seems slightly lower than what Arla and FrieslandCampina pay in November, but Eko-Holland's milk price is difficult to compare with the prices of other processors. Eko-Holland does not publish fat and protein prices, but does base its determination of the milk price on a lower fat and protein content (4,41% fat and 3,47% protein) than the other processors (which assume 4,42 .3,57% fat and XNUMX% protein). As a result, the milk price of market leader Eko-Holland appears to be slightly lower than it is. Eko-Holland also assumes a lower average quantum.
The market for organic milk has a clearly different dynamic than the conventional dairy market. While the conventional market has been on the rise since the summer, the organic market has been rising much less strongly.
