Milcobel has increased the milk price for November and is catching up slightly on Royal A-ware, which increased the milk price for November by €1,25.
The amounts mentioned are the milk prices at the legal levels as they apply in Belgium. The actual fat and protein levels are slightly higher on average and are 43 grams of fat and 35 grams of protein per liter.
According to Milcobel, the milk price for November at actual contents and maximum premiums for quality, sustainability and volumes is €40,69 per 100 liters. Until recently, a volume of 650.000 kilos per year was used, but now a volume of 2,8 million liters or more appears to be used. Milcobel does not want to answer questions about this.
With an annual supply of 1,3 million liters, the volume that A-ware uses as standard, Milcobel's milk price is €40,20 per 100 liters, compared to €40,80 per 100 liters at A-ware.
Competitor Laiterie des Ardennes (LDA) does not yet have a milk price for November. This cooperative set the milk price for October last week. This Walloon cooperative opened its new mozzarella factory in Badour, near Mons/Mons, on Tuesday. This factory can produce 32.000 tons of mozzarella and 40.000 tons of whey annually. This means LDA has a broadened range of products and a lot of transport can be avoided.
Milcobel's Dutch milk price for November will increase by €1,26 per kilo to a basic price of €40,35 per 100 kilos. On top of this price, a 25 cent grazing allowance can be added. This Dutch price is exclusive of VAT, after deduction of 5 cents for ZuivelNL and for an annual supply of 1 million kilos.
With the publication of the milk price, Milcobel also announces that, by decision of the board of directors, the so-called cooperative refund for all loyal members will be increased from €0,35 to €0,70 per 100 liters of milk in 2021.
