Premature maize with the highest kVEM/ha
Ultra to very early varieties on the colder/heavy soils and very early to early varieties in the rest of the Netherlands are the most reliable choice. As the only maize breeder with a Dutch breeding program, LG has therefore been committed to developing early-ripening varieties with a high nutritional yield since the 80s. With success: very early maize varieties such as LG 7005 en LG Emeen supply more than 22.000 kVEM per hectare. In doing so, they ensure:
- Fully ripe corn, so with a high nutritional value in early autumn
- Less chance of drought damage, because flowering and spawning take place earlier in the year
- Much less chance of structural damage at the corn harvest
- On lighter/warmer plots, late sowing possible
- After the harvest, space for a successful cultivation of grass or a catch crop

More insight into your maize cultivation with Agrility
Modern technology helps you to gain more insight and grip on numerous processes. With Agrility, LG's new smart-farming platform, this now also applies to your maize cultivation. Based on satellite images, weather stations, maize variety characteristics and soil data, Agrility provides practical e-mail reports of your maize fields. Agrility will be exclusively available next season with all LG maize varieties.

Protecting your corn from bird and insect damage
With the disappearance of chemical seed treatments, the risk of bird and insect damage in maize cultivation has increased. Our Starcover-Force seed coating protects the seedling against insects and bird food, through a combination of defense and growth stimulation. If there is still bird food, then with the free Maisservice you will receive maize seed for overseeding or additional sowing from LG.
