Coöperatie Eko-Holland gives the advance price a boost for the second time since October. The organic milk price is rising steadily this year, but in terms of development it is lagging far behind the movement in the conventional market.
With the latest increase, the advance price for December amounts to €53,00 per 100 kilos. This is the price based on the old Dutch standard contents of 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein and an annual volume of 500.000 kilos of milk.
On average over the entire year, the advance price is €51,43 per 100 kilos of milk. This price is therefore higher than Arla's organic milk price, despite the strong price increases of this cooperative in recent months, especially December. Arla's advance price for the entire year is around €49,00 per 100 kilos for the same contents and volumes. FrieslandCampina will announce the guaranteed price for December on Monday.
For the biodynamic members of Eko-Holland, the advance price for December remains at €57,60 per 100 kilos. That is for the tenth month in a row. On average over the year, they receive an advance of €57,52 per 100 kilos.
