This is evident from an announcement that has been distributed among suppliers. Turnover and profit increased by €300 million and €14,5 million respectively. The higher turnover is mainly attributable to the new mozzarella and cream factory in Heerenveen.

With a total investment amount of €59 million, Royal A-ware again invested heavily in 2020, but significantly less than in the years before the corona pandemic. For example, in 2018, €102 million was invested.

Solvency also improved well last year and is therefore at 30%. In 2019, the solvency percentage was 27%. The average number of employees increased by 260 to 3.120 full-timers.

Stable results
Royal A-ware emphasizes that the results are above all quite stable. A result of €36 million on a turnover of €1,8 billion is 2% of turnover. This is a slight improvement (0,5 percentage points) compared to previous years, it is noted. Despite the difficult circumstances, last year was, just like the years before, a year with predictable results. According to the company, a net result of 2% is still not exceptionally high, but an excellent performance given the circumstances.

Expansion of AB Texel transport fleet
The investments last year went to the completion of the mozzarella and cream factory, the further modernization and expansion of packaging locations in Almere and Culemborg and in more ripening capacity in Zeewolde. A significant amount has also been invested in the further expansion of AB Texel's transport fleet.
