Former Milcobel members go to court for release of deposits
A group of 51 Flemish former members of Milcobel are going to court because they feel they have been treated unfairly by an amendment to the articles of association that was implemented after their termination. It is the second case within a few months of former members against their former cooperative.

This is not about obstacles that make exit itself difficult, but about the delayed release of their contributions to the cooperative. Earlier this year, Milcobel implemented an amendment to the articles of association, which meant that the deposits deposited with the cooperative would be paid out over a period of five years. According to the livestock farmers, who have left for various buyers, the changed rules should not be applied to them because they had already canceled before the change was implemented.
