NutriDutch, a small-scale producer of milk powder in Putten, Gelderland, was declared bankrupt by the Amsterdam court this week. The high energy costs could be the reason.
In 2016 investment company Mentha Capital took over the former Van den Bor Milk. In the factory in Putten, whey powder concentrates, lactose and (baby) milk powders are produced. In recent years, the investor has reportedly invested heavily in production.
The company has 34 employees. The high gas price would be the reason for the bankruptcy. Powdering milk takes a lot of energy in the form of gas. There may be a reboot.
