FrieslandCampina: Tanks must be readable
By 2023, all FrieslandCampina members must have a milk tank with a readable memory. There is now a small number of members who do not have such a facility. A readable memory is important in order to be able to check whether the milk has always been sufficiently cooled.

In total, there are still about 200 to 300 companies in the Netherlands and Belgium that have a tank guard where the memory is missing or can no longer be read, FrieslandCampina reports. This is no longer the case in Germany. The control option is therefore not optimal on the farms mentioned and FrieslandCampina wants to be sure that milk has not been too warm. These companies will still have time this year to make things right.
Not always more suspension of milk intake
The provision is included in the Practice Regulations for 2022. This also states that non-compliance with KoeKompas does not always have to lead to suspension of milk intake. In specific cases, an administrative fine may also be imposed. Such a measure does not count towards the maximum of three violations in 24 months before a longer suspension of milk intake follows.
