ForFarmers nominates Marijke Folkers-In 't Hout as a member of the Supervisory Board. The agricultural entrepreneur, with a mixed farm in Veendam, is also chairman of the Supervisory Board of Royal Avebe. She replaces Sandra Addink, who is stepping down after three terms.
With the nomination of Folkers, which will be presented to the shareholders of ForFarmers at the general meeting on 14 April, the feed group from Lochem once again establishes a link with Avebe. David Fousert, the current CEO of the potato starch group from Veendam, comes from ForFarmers. Folkers owns an arable farming, poultry and pig farm in Veendam and has already held various positions in the business world. Since 2018 she has been chair of the Supervisory Board of Avebe.
The nomination of Marijke Folkers was made on the recommendation of Coöperatie FromFarmers as holder of the priority share in ForFarmers, the feed company reports in a statement. With the nomination, the association therefore demonstrates that it considers sufficient cooperative knowledge to be important in the supervisory board.
According to ForFarmers, the retiring Sandra Addink-Berendsen will step down by rotation after three terms in mid-April at the end of the shareholders' meeting. This also means the last direct connection with FrieslandCampina within the Supervisory Board of ForFarmers. Addink is currently vice-chairman of both the supervisory boards of FrieslandCampina and that of ForFarmers. Also Erwin Wunnekink, who last autumn after much commotion left as chairman of FrieslandCampina, sits on the Supervisory Board of ForFarmers.
