Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods will increase the milk price again for January. This is the eleventh consecutive step up since February last year. The organic milk price has also increased, but less quickly, because the organic price went up by 25 cents.
Vreugdenhil's basic milk price for January of this year amounts to €47,40 per 100 kilos, according to the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator. That is the highest current milk price for that month and €1,65 per 100 kilos more than was paid in December. The maximum milk price is €1,50 per 100 kilos higher thanks to the addition of the meadow milk supplement and amounts to €48,90 per 100 kilos.
High milk price for January
This puts Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods just below Cono and Royal A-ware and the company sets the third highest milk price for this month.
January is the last month at Vreugdenhil in which the winter surcharge of €1,50 per 100 kilos counts. This is paid for five months per year.
The organic milk price amounts to €50,51 per 100 kilos, which is 25 cents per 100 kilos more than was paid in December. With this price, Vreugdenhil is slightly behind what Eko-Holland and FrieslandCampina pay out.
