Products to add protein to the ration remain in good demand and priced. The further rise in soy prices in recent weeks means that this demand is expected to change little for the time being. After the small price increase of spent grain last week, prices will remain stable this week at €3,25 per percent dry matter. There are still few or no feed potatoes on the market.

Roughage trade quite stable
The demand for good silage is still good. Good potholes are hard to find. The average indicative price per tonne, free of charge, is €72,50, a historically high level. However, a little more is paid for good grass, and less for poorer silages suitable for young cattle.

The supply of straw recently seems to have increased slightly and demand is quite stable. Straw prices have recently taken a small step back. Traders most often quote prices between €125 and €130 per tonne, slightly higher in the north than in the south. The average DCA indicative price is €127,50 per tonne, €5 less than last week. Prices are therefore slightly lower than last year.

Prices for meadow hay (€185 per tonne), fescue (€145 per tonne), meadow meadow (€130 per tonne) and perennial ryegrass (€130 per tonne) are all stable.
