DOC Cheese further increases milk price
DOC Kaas has raised the milk price again. With the change for March, the dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina - which also increased - remains well ahead in the milk price comparator of Boerenbusiness.

DOC Kaas increases the milk price for the month of March by €1,08 per 100 kilos, resulting in a basic milk price of €46,76 per 100 kilos. That price is calculated based on an annual supply of 1 million kilos of milk and the standard Dutch fat and protein contents. It is the seventh increase in a row that DOC is implementing.
In milk price comparator van Boerenbusiness DOC Kaas is therefore more than €1 per 100 kilos higher than FrieslandCampina. Including the maximum achievable bonuses for VLOG and grazing, the milk price remains just below the €50 limit.
Good sentiment
The increase in the milk price is due to the good sentiment on the dairy market. Cheese and milk powder prices in particular increased further in January and February - contrary to expectations. It is expected that other processors in the Netherlands will also increase the milk price.
