Chinese dairy sector is experiencing rapid growth
China's major dairy producers significantly ramped up production last year, according to Chinese government statistics.

The statistics show that the major dairy producers saw production increase just 2021% in 9,4 to 30,4 million tons. In December, output was almost 12% higher at 2,81 million tons. The growth is also reflected in Chinese dairy import figures. Initially, China significantly increased its dairy imports, but since the summer things have slowed down and imports have fallen far back.
According to statistics, the major dairy producers are companies with more than 20 million Chinese Yuan, which amounts to €2,9 million tons. These farms determine the total and account for approximately 80% of the milk production in the Asian country.
