The Dutch Dairy Organization (NZO) has appointed Frank van den Heuvel (56) as director. Van den Heuvel is now an independent Public Affairs and Governance advisor. He succeeds Oscar Meuffels, who joined A-ware on 1 February.
Van den Heuvel has represented the interests of various companies and organizations in recent years. He has also held various supervisory positions, including at educational organisations. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of, among others, the agricultural cooperative Vitelia and Slib Processing Noord-Brabant. In addition, he regularly publishes on political-social issues, governance and supervision.
Unlike, for example, Tjeerd de Groot (Meuffels' predecessor), Van den Heuvel, according to his Linkedin profile, much more of a CDA-esque background.
NZO chairman Hein Schumacher is pleased with the appointment of Van den Heuvel. "Frank is a very experienced director. I am convinced that with his knowledge and experience we can further strengthen the advocacy of the Dutch dairy industry in the coming years."
Van den Heuvel will start working for the NZO on 1 June.
