Cono gives March advance an extra boost
Cono Kaasmakers gives the advance milk price for March an extra boost compared to the previous months. In January the cooperative kept the price the same, in February there was a plus, in March an extra big step up will follow.

The cooperative increases by a total of €2,31 to a basic milk price of €46,61 per 100 kilos. The meadow milk price and the maximum milk price successively increase to €48,61 and €51,11 per 100 kilos.
With this increase, Cono is once again firmly in the leading group of the best payers of milk money in terms of basic milk price. An additional €4,50 in surcharges is added to the maximum milk price, resulting in a final price of €51,11.

With this (advance) price, Cono is among the best payers of milk money, especially because the majority of Cono members can also claim this milk price.
In addition to branded cheeses, Cono also makes ice cream mix for Ben & Jerry's, skimmed milk powder and whey powders. Because Cono produces specifically branded cheeses, on the basis of often longer-term contracts, the company's milk price responds slightly more slowly to changes in the market than, for example, a foil cheese producer.
