Lactalis Leerdammer is catching up with the milk price for April. The cheesemaker raises the price and thus also sets the currently highest meadow milk price for this month. In recent months, the milk price has lagged behind.
According to a statement from the company itself, the total milk price for the month of April is €49,75 per 100 kilos of milk (excluding VAT and after the deduction of the contribution for ZuivelNL). This price also applies to an annual supply of 1,1 million kilos and standard contents of 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein.
The price includes surcharges for grazing and Vlog (€2 and €1 per 100 kilos respectively). Finally, the price also includes a surcharge - of €0,25 per 100 kilos - for milk from dairy farmers who feed both pasture and cows according to the Vlog conditions. The sustainability premium of a maximum of €0,60 per 100 kilos is not included. This premium is paid out once a year, with the milk money from March.
Pasture milk price suddenly tops

This amounts to €48,08 per 100 kilos and is exactly €0,05 lower than the milk price of Royal A-ware. The meadow milk price amounts to €50,08 per 100 kilos. This is currently the highest for April. The maximum milk price is €51,33 per 100 kilos.
