Coöperatie LDA raises the milk price for the month of April and thus sets - as the last payer in a row - again the highest 'legal' milk price for Belgium.
At real contents and a volume of 1,3 million liters, the milk price is €52,70 per 100 liters. That is €1,76 more than A-ware pays and €3,50 more than Milcobel pays out for April. FrieslandCampina pays out approximately the same amount (€49,25) as Milcobel. However, this is only the case if a supplier continues to deliver faithfully throughout the year. If not, €1,00 less will be paid per 100 liters (officially: you will receive less reduction as a supplier).
Just like in the Netherlands, Arla has the most difficulty, relatively speaking, in keeping up with the pace of prices. FrieslandCampina is in the process of recovering somewhat, while Milcobel is lagging behind the two leaders. These are LDA and Royal A-ware. They pay the highest prices.
A-ware also recently reported that it wants to pay an extra premium of €1,00 per 100 liters for meadow milk in the summer months. For this purpose, the company sets up a second milk flow.
