Price of organic milk rises less sharply in April
The average price increase for organic milk fell back slightly in April compared to March, according to the Boerenbusiness Organic Milk Price Comparator. This time there was an additional €1,65 per 100 kilos. Last month €2,20.

Thanks in particular to a substantial increase at Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods (+€3,58), the average increase amounted to €1,65 extra. All other processors took it a little easier.
The average organic milk price for April was €58,19 per 100 kilos. In March, the average organic milk price was €56,54 per 100 kilos. It should again be noted that the weighted average is lower, because the heavyweights Eko-Holland and FrieslandCampina pay a lower organic milk price.
The difference with the usual meadow milk price remained about the same as in March. At that time, €8,50 per 100 kilos less was paid for conventional meadow milk than for organic milk. In April, €8,48 per 100 kilos less was paid for conventional meadow milk.
