A-ware takes over cheese company from Bodegraven

Dairy group Royal A-ware takes over Noordhoek Gerapte Kaas from Bodegraven. With this, the company wants to further expand its position in the grated cheese market.

Noordhoek Gerapte Kaas is a family business that has been working together for a long time with A-ware. Although A-ware is expanding its interest in Dutch grated cheese in this way, the private dairy group is already a dominant player in this segment in our country. The range of Noordhoek is different, according to a statement from A-ware, and the company is also active in other markets. Noordhoek's products mainly go to bakeries, pizza manufacturers, catering wholesalers and other companies within the food industry. The approximately 50 employees will transfer to A-ware. 

Third acquisition this year
"The acquisition will allow us to add products to our range that will enable us to respond even better to the needs of our customers," said Jan Anker, CEO of A-ware, in a statement. There is no mention of a takeover sum in the message. The acquisition of Noordhoek is already the third this year. Previously, A-ware took over two dairies in Belgium about.
