DOC Kaas and parent company DMK increase the milk price for June by almost double the price in May. An additional €4,29 per 100 kilos is added. The milk price is therefore slightly behind that of FrieslandCampina and Arla, but the company continues to participate well.
According to the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator DOC Kaas pays a basic milk price of €54,27 per 100 kilos for June. That is €1,46 less than FrieslandCampina does, and €1,55 less than Arla pays. DOC also continues to lag behind FrieslandCampina with regard to the meadow milk price, but the difference is not greater compared to May.
DOC Kaas and DMK can benefit in particular from the current good cheese prices. Cheese has been the commodity with the highest valorisation in recent months. DMK is by far the largest cheese producer in Germany, while DOC produces almost exclusively cheese.
