Suppliers' cooperative Eko-Holland is increasing the organic milk price in advance for June by €3,00 per 100 kilos. It is the largest one-time price increase for the cooperative in more than a year. It does not lead to the highest organic milk price for this month.
This is evident from the Boerenbusiness Organic milk price comparator and the DCA quotation of milk prices. Eko-Holland and FrieslandCampina, as the largest parties in the organic milk market in the Netherlands, remain close to each other in terms of payments.
Payout difference for large and smaller players
Arla Foods and A-ware, both with a smaller milk pool, pay a noticeably higher milk price. Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, which also has a number of organic suppliers, will only announce a milk price for June later, but it is also at a slightly higher price level.
Difference biological and conventional
For these companies, the difference between the conventional and organic milk prices remains greater. This may be less of a point of discussion at Eko-Holland, because the package does not contain conventional milk, but at FrieslandCampina it is certainly a point of attention. At least among the biological members.
Eko-Holland has also increased the biodynamic milk price for June relatively sharply. This increases by €2,60 per 100 kilos to €61,25 (with a volume of 500.000 kilos).
