Milcobel is increasing the milk price for the month of June by €4,00 per 100 litres, thereby setting the provisionally highest standard milk price for this month. The company refers to the strong results in the market and the new strategy deployed is the reason why this high price can be paid.
The new milk price under Belgian standard conditions is €55,50 per 100 litres. That is 50 cents more than what A-ware pays, and also more than what FrieslandCampina and Arla pay.
According to Milcobel, the milk price at real components (43 grams of fat and 35 grams of protein) and maximum premiums is €59,66 per 100 litres.

When Milcobel's milk price is compared with that of other processors, the price is slightly lower. According to the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator This results in a milk price of €58,70 per 100 litres. That's still more than the comparable price of A-ware, the highest price to date.
This does not include the pasture supplement of €1,00 per liter, which A-ware pays out to some of its suppliers. At Milcobel, this supplement is included in the milk price.
Milcobel's milk price will be slightly higher from May in relative terms, partly due to a doubling of the sustainability premium. A higher volume fee will also come into effect in August.
