The still rising milk price that farmers receive from their processors keeps the price increases on the market for phosphate rights. This week, sales rights again became one euro per kilo more expensive.
Compared to the beginning of June, the price of a phosphate purchase right has increased by almost €10. This means the price is well above €160 per kilo.
Nitrogen Minister Van der Wal's plans to (indirectly) cut livestock numbers appear to have no influence at all on the price of phosphate rights. The demand is still much greater than the supply of rights.
Nitrogen plans not yet in implementation phase
This is not completely strange, because the plans have only just been announced. Several hurdles still need to be overcome before implementation can begin. However, there is also a risk in the purchase of phosphate rights, if only because there is a chance that the purchase of these rights cannot be fully amortized. The current high milk price in combination with persistent shortages on the world market apparently makes up for a lot.

The trade in lease rights is calm, while the price for small lots of skimming-free lease remains at €20 per kilo.
