Leerdammer ends up at FrieslandCampina
Cheesemaker Lactalis Leerdammer has increased the milk price for July by €3,60 per 100 kilos, slightly further exceeding the price of market leader FrislandCampina. Until May, Leerdammer was lagging behind.

The basic milk price of Lactalis Leerdammer for July is €61,47 per 100 kilos. According to the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator that is €2,24 more than FrieslandCampina pays for the same conditions. Last month, Leerdammer exceeded FrieslandCampina's price by 14 cents. In the months before that, Leerdammer was actually lower than FrieslandCampina for a while. Until July, Leerdammer pays an average basic milk price of €49,93 per 100 kilos, FrieslandCampina pays an average of €49,80.
With the current increase, Lactalis Leerdammer pays the highest basic milk price for the time being. The meadow milk price leaves her 60 cents behind the current leader A-ware. At Leerdammer, suppliers can receive a maximum milk price of €62,72 per 100 kilos for July. This milk price applies to an annual supply of 1 million kilos, ex VAT and after deduction of 5 cents per 100 kilos for ZuivelNL.
Royal again
Since July 1, 2022, Leerdammer can again use the title of royal. The official company name is therefore: Royal Lactalis Leerdammer BV. This means that the King has agreed that the organization may continue to use the designation Royal under the new parent company. Since 2015, during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the factories in Schoonrewoerd and Dalfsen, the company has been awarded the title Royal Bel Leerdammer. Due to the takeover by the Groupe Lactalis, a new name had to be requested.
