Milk price Vreugdenhil remains at a lonely height
Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has again increased the milk price. This means that the powder producer remains well ahead in the milk price comparator of Boerenbusiness.

The basic milk price for June increases by €3,14 to €59,43 per 100 kilos. This is calculated on the basis of the standard fat and protein contents in the Netherlands and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. In the milk price comparator Vreugdenhil is therefore well at a distance from other processors. Not only last month, but also the running average of the past 12 months is almost $3 higher. Including bonuses and premiums, the June milk price is €60,93 per 100 kilos. Only A-ware is still above that.
Vreugdenhil benefits from the high milk powder prices on the world market and this is reflected in the milk price. Based on the trend at other processors, a further increase in July is likely. Whether there is still room after that remains to be seen. The dairy market has been under pressure in recent weeks. For example, skimmed milk powder is again below the level of €4.000 per tonne. This also puts pressure on the raw material value of milk.
