Cabinet wants to accelerate nitrogen approach

15 July 2022 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 8 comments

In the last Council of Ministers before the summer recess, the cabinet approved acceleration proposals from the provinces to reduce nitrogen. For this, the government is drawing €574 million from the transition fund. €250 million will also be made available for the legalization of PAS reporters.

This year it will be €229 million, next year it will be €275 million, that is the intention. In doing so, the cabinet is meeting the wishes of various provinces that insisted on this. By releasing the money early now, nitrogen minister Christianne Van der Wal hopes to speed up the area processes. The government has earmarked a total of more than €30 billion for the transition plan.

Peter Drenth, deputy for the CDA in the province of Gelderland, tells the NOS that the money is too little to really take steps in the implementation. However, he is pleased that the cabinet is showing initiative. Interest organization Agractie is moderately positive and sees the plans as the start of change, aiming at a possible solution for the PAS reporters. However, Agractie continues to insist that the critical deposition value must be removed from the nitrogen law. Agractie also believes that nitrogen reduction can only take place if there is support for it in the agricultural sector.

Just blind, or without looking, driving into a thick concrete wall, just rambling, where does agriculture see something positive, what a worthless people they are, they could just be civil servants, they are already very bad,

When will the CDA pull the plug on this D66 monstrosity invented by the noble Mr Remkes.
Remkes the reconciler without baggage without possibilities.
Due to capital mistakes by the government, perhaps with premeditation, half of the agricultural sector could kill half the agrarian sector when I hear that stupid hat from De Wal oracular.
I really have the idea that that person doesn't understand what she is doing.

The farmers who want to quit are sitting on gold.
Nitrogen is gold if you have it to sell and so is soil.
The government wants to use the purchased nitrogen to speed up the construction and construction of roads. The cabinet hates nature with this method.
So sellers be very careful you have gold in their hands.

That gold you get your hands on will be wood in a few years, think about that before you squander the company built by your grandparents!

trog is right, this government policy will accelerate the depreciation of money.
We have seen in recent years that money no longer has any value given the interest that is paid for it.

It's nice that more than 30 billion of our tax money is spent to drive us into starvation. The cabinet has completely given away its interests to the Wiels Economic Forum…
