DOC Kaas and parent company DMK are again increasing the milk price for August by a significant step, albeit a smaller one than the month before. In doing so, DOC Kaas distances itself from competitors FrieslandCampina and Arla.
According to the announcement of DOC Kaas, a total of €3,10 per 100 kilos will be added per August, bringing the basic milk price to €61,67. The meadow milk price goes to €63,42, while a maximum of €64,42 can be achieved, according to the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator.
This means that the cheese maker again sets the provisional highest milk price for August. FrieslandCampina kept the milk price the same. Arla plus with €1,17 per 100 kilos.
The stated price applies to Dutch standard levels for milk and an annual delivery of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after deduction of a 5 cent contribution for ZuivelNL.
Due to the most recent increase, DOC Kaas is once again the best paying milk price for the time being up to and including August. On average, this amounts to €51,04 per 100 kilos. At FrieslandCampina it comes out at €50,98 per 100 kilos and at Arla at €50,32 per 100 kilos. With the meadow milk price, DOC Kaas increases the difference even more (+25 cents).
