Dairy company A-ware raises the August milk price by €1,25 per 100 kilos for both conventional and organic milk, while fellow cheesemaker Leerdammer keeps the milk price the same. Organic supplier cooperative Eko-Holland increases by 25 cents.
This is evident from the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator and follows announcements by these companies. Due to the increase in the basic price by €1,25 per 100 kilos, A-ware is almost the highest payer in this segment. Only DOC Cheese still has to be given priority. This increased the basic milk price by €3,10 per 100 kilos to €61,67 per 100 kilos, which is €1,60 more than what Royal A-ware pays.
A-ware keeps a wide distance from competitor FrieslandCampina. While the guaranteed price for August remains the same at €60,00 per 100 kilos, the weighted average price of A-ware, the WP, exceeds this by more than €3,00 per 100 kilos.
Although A-ware increases by €1,25 across the board, not everyone receives this amount. From August onwards, suppliers of meadow milk will have to do without the spring bonus of €2,00 per 100 kilos. On balance they receive 75 cents less, but a price of €61,32 per 100 kilos for meadow milk is still not bad. The maximum milk price will increase to €66,32 per 100 kilos, which is a record so far for conventional milk.
A-ware's organic milk price will be increased by €1,25 per 100 kilos to €67,42 per 100 kilos, putting the company close behind Arla, the company said. FrieslandCampina does not go further than €63,68 per 100 kilos, while Eko-Holland closes the line with the latest increase at €63,05 per 100 kilos.
The small group of biodynamic dairy farmers, who lagged behind in payment last month, now receive extra milk money and amounts to €63,25 per 100 kilos.
