Royal A-ware keeps the milk price for August the same in Belgium, but remains the highest payer for the months of July and August. Competitor LDA can still change this, but it is slightly behind the rest in terms of publishing prices.
With a milk price at real contents of €63,28 per 100 liters (with an annual delivery of 1,3 million litres), A-ware pays more than €4,00 more in July than Milcobel does, according to the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness. FrieslandCampina comes closer with an actual price of €59,80 per 100 kilos. Arla is located between FrieslandCampina and Milcobel.
For August, A-ware still remains the leader with a realistic price of €63,28, albeit slightly less generously. With a difference of more than €3,00 per 100 liters, Arla follows, which pays €60,19 per 100 liters.
Just like in the Netherlands, the milk price in Belgium has also made great strides. In May, the five largest processors paid an average milk price of €53,50 per 100 liters and in June that average rose to €57,93, while the average for July points towards €60,50 per 100 liters. These prices are all exclusive of surcharges for grazing.
On average over the first eight months of this year, A-ware pays a milk price (without grazing allowance) of more than €54,00 per 100 litres, Arla pays €51,40 and FrieslandCampina €50,92.
