CZ Rouveen keeps turnover per cheese stable

8 August 2022 - Klaas van der Horst

Coöperatie Rouveen has managed to increase its turnover by about 2021% in 10 and was also able to pay its members a higher milk price, while turnover per cheese sold has remained virtually stable.

This is apparent from the cooperative's annual report. Turnover increased from €183,5 million to almost €202 million. Just under €6 million more milk money could be paid to the members.

The average price per kilo of cheese sold has remained virtually unchanged at just over €5,30. However, about 3.000 tons more cheese was sold than during 2020, bringing production to just under 30.000 tons.

Rouveen Kaasspecialiteiten produces almost exclusively high-quality specialty cheeses from cow, goat and sheep milk. For this purpose, it has two branches in Rouveen and Molenschot in Brabant. Rouveen produces for its own sales as well as on contract for other dairies and traders.
