Vreugdenhil highest in milk price for fifth time
Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods is the last in a row to determine the milk price for July, and with the basic milk price it is well above €60,00 per 100 kilos. This makes it the highest payer for this month. This is not possible with the organic milk price, but the price has been increased extra.

This is evident from the Boerenbusiness common en biological milk price comparators. Compared to June, the current milk price has increased by 84 cents to €60,27 per 100 kilos. That is the highest basic milk price for this month. FrieslandCampina has also announced a milk price of €60,00, but that is the guaranteed price. This also includes all kinds of surcharges. The basic milk price of FrieslandCampina under comparable conditions as Vreugdenhil (1 million kilos per year, ex VAT, at standard contents and after deduction of 5 cents per 100 kilos for ZuivelNL) amounts to €59,43 per 100 kilos. With a meadow milk price of €61,77, Vreugdenhil has to outdo competitor A-ware. Like FrieslandCampina, it also pays a higher maximum milk price.

Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods managed to achieve the highest basic milk price almost every month this year. The only exception so far has been February. Then the DOC had to give Kaas priority.
Organic milk price increased by more than €3,50
Vreugdenhil's organic milk price for July is set at €66,59 per 100 kilos. That is €3,52 per 100 kilos more than was paid in June. Yet Arla has to leave it alone, which pays €1,30 more per 100 kilos. Vreugdenhil leaves the other parties, including Eko-Holland and FrieslandCampina, (the two largest) behind.
The average organic milk price for July is according to the comparison of Boerenbusiness works out at €65,23 per 100 kilos. That is €2,60 per 100 kilos more than in June. The current (basic) milk price is just under €7,00 per 100 kilos and amounts to €58,67 per 100 kilos in July. That is €3,00 per 100 kilos more than in June. At that time, an average of €55,68 was paid.
Meadow milk price is just €5,00 below the organic price
The average meadow milk price is closer to the organic milk price than the bare milk price. This meadow milk price also better reflects the Dutch average and is more comparable to the organic price. This price for July amounts to €60,45 per 100 kilos. That is €2,75 more than the average paid for meadow milk in June. The average for this is €57,75.
