Milcobel will increase the milk price for the month of August by 50 cents per 100 liters and will also pay a 50% higher volume premium from this month. According to Milcobel, the increase is the result of a strong financial result in the first 7 months of the year. LDA increases by 50 cents over July.
Milcobel's standard milk price for August is set at €56,50 per 100 liters. At real contents and a maximum volume surcharge (at 2,7 million litres), the milk price is €61,16 per 100 litres.
According to the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness the real milk price for an annual delivery of 1,3 million liters amounts to €59,98 per 100 liters. This means it has to outdo Arla and A-ware, but no longer FrieslandCampina.
Milcobel states that it has paid an above-average milk price for Belgium in the previous months. This was not the case in July, but with the latest increase it is back in the middle bracket of the large processors for August.
The published milk prices do not include any supplements for grazing.
LDA increases by 50 cents for July
Laiterie des Ardennes has not yet announced a milk price for August. It has, however, announced a milk price for the month of July. This has been set at a standard price of €57,00 per 100 liters. This corresponds to a milk price of €59,70 at real contents and a volume of 1,3 million liters per year. LDA therefore pays 50 cents per 100 liters more than Milcobel did in July, but has to leave FrieslandCampina and A-ware ahead.
