Lactalis Leerdammer joins the group of dairies that are continuing a further increase in the milk price for September. Of the 7 conventional milk processors compared in the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator, 2 so far keep the milk price the same, while 3 increase further.
Lactalis Leerdammer belongs to this last group. The company increases the milk price for September by €0,98 to €60,45 per 100 kilos. This is the basic milk price excluding VAT and for an annual supply of 1 million kilos.
This means that Leerdammer pays exactly 3 cents less than FrieslandCampina. However, the meadow milk price exceeds that of the Amersfoort cooperative. Including Vlog allowance, Leerdammer pays a maximum milk price of €63,70 per 100 kilos. That is just under 80 cents less than a fellow farmer at DOC Kaas receives under the same conditions.
Until March this year, Lactalis Leerdammer was relatively behind in paying milk money, but has since caught up.
The average basic milk price up to and including September is €51,95 per 100 kilos, compared to €52,25 at FrieslandCampina.
