The average milk price for Dutch dairy farmers is still rising, but at a slower pace. In August, an average of less than 80 cents per 100 kilos was added. For September there seems to be even less.
The average basic milk price increased by 79 cents per 100 kilos to €59,46. This is the price excluding VAT, at standard contents and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. The meadow milk price went to €60,96 per 100 kilos. This increased by only 51 cents. This was caused by the disappearance of the seasonal surcharge of €1 per 2,00 kilos at A-ware as of August 100. The maximum milk price increased from €62,40 to €63,19 per 100 kilos.
As with any average, there are deviations up and down. What is striking is the strong prices that DOC Cheese sets for conventional milk and pasture milk, with successive amounts of €61,67 and €63,42 per 100 kilos. The highest maximum milk price is still achieved by A-ware with the Beter Voor milk flow: €66,32 per 100 kilos. Cheesemaker Cono has occupied the last place in recent months in terms of (advance) milk price.
