DOC Kaas and parent company DMK keep the milk price for October at the same level as the previous month. Despite this, it still continues to pay the highest bare and meadow milk prices, according to the Boerenbusiness milk price comparator.
It is still uncertain whether this will remain the case. Not all milk prices for September have been determined yet and only a few milk prices are known for October. There is a chance that even more processors will increase their milk prices for October now that FrieslandCampina and Arla have done so.
In the meantime, milk price increases are becoming increasingly difficult, various dairy companies report. Cheese prices in particular are becoming increasingly higher and therefore more difficult to pay. The prices of other dairy products, such as yoghurts and butter, are also rising above average.
On average until October, DOC pays a basic milk price of €53,38 per 100 kilos. With meadow and Vlog an additional €2,75 can be added. For comparison: FrieslandCampina pays out an average of €53,19 per 100 kilos.
