Belgian milk prices in September remained virtually the same as in August. Of the large processors, FrieslandCampina was the only one to let the price move, with a plus of €1,27 per 100 litres.
This is evident from the Belgian milk price comparator van Boerenbusiness. The average milk price of the 5 largest processors thus came to €60,57 per 100 litres, which is almost 26 cents more than the average for August. The prices are compared with an annual supply of 1,3 million liters and contents of 4,3% fat and 3,5% protein.
A-ware remains highest
With a price of €61,07 per 100 litres, FrieslandCampina was not the highest payer, however. That remained Royal A-ware, which kept the milk price stable at €63,28 per 100 litres. Laiterie des Ardennes (LDA) announced that it will keep the milk price for September the same at €59,70 per 100 litres. Arla paid the lowest price with € 58,81 per 100 liters.
Not all prices are known for the month of October, but there are already prices that are moving. Both Arla and FrieslandCampina increased successively by €1,04 and €1,00 per 100 litres. Milcobel will announce the October milk price next week.
