Milcobel maintains the milk price for October at the level of the previous two months. This is happening in an environment where the international dairy market is clearly declining, the company reports. The strong performance of the various business units makes it possible for the time being to avoid the negative developments.
Hyperinflation and rising raw material and energy prices, among other things, have a clear impact on the market situation. Therefore, according to the dairy cooperative, caution is required.
The actual milk price paid with maximum allowances and volume premiums (associated with a supply of 2,7 million liters) remains at €61,16 per 100 liters, it is reported. According to the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness (volume 1,3 million litres), the Milcobel price is €59,98 per 100 litres.
For the month of October, Milcobel has to tolerate FrieslandCampina and also A-ware in terms of milk price.
The Belgian cooperative reports that it has convened a successful round of regional member meetings in recent weeks. There was plenty of debate about strengthening cooperative operations and the rollout of a new education and training plan. An e-learning platform for suppliers has been launched, among other things.
