Just like Arla and DOC Kaas/DMK before, Royal A-ware is now also stepping up its milk price for November. The company is increasing both the conventional and organic milk price by well over €1 per 100 kilos. Cono keeps the milk price in October the same.
Although prices for bulk dairy products have been falling for weeks in a row, many prices have recently been set at a relatively high level, especially in retail, for butter, cheese and drinking milk, among other things. This apparently gives processors room to increase the payment price slightly. The mutual struggle for dairy farmers also plays a role.
With the latest increase, the basic milk price at A-ware amounts to €62,52 per 100 kilos, while the pasture milk price and the maximum milk price successively amount to €63,77 and €68,77 per 100 kilos, according to the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator.
With the 'Better for' line, A-ware is already well at the top in terms of milk price, with the basic milk price and pasture milk price the dairy maintains a middle position between leader DOC cheese and the cooperatives Arla and FrieslandCampina. The latter keeps the current milk price for November the same.
With the organic milk price, A-ware also maintains an upward trend, just like Arla and Eko-Holland. In terms of increase (+€0,97), the company maintains a mid-price between Arla and Eko-Holland.
In Belgium, A-ware keeps the milk price stable for the fifth month in a row, but at a level of €63,28 per 100 liters. That is the highest price paid in Belgium by the five largest parties, as can also be seen in the Belgian milk price calculator van Boerenbusiness. In recent months, FrieslandCampina and Arla in particular have been moving closer to this milk price, but there remains a distance of at least €1,20 per 100 kilos to the price of A-ware.
Cono remains stable
In the meantime, Cono Kaasmaker has kept the milk price for October the same for the fourth time in a row. The basic milk price is €56,20 per 100 kilos, but this price is not representative for the vast majority of Cono members. Almost everyone receives the maximum milk price, which is €60,70 per 100 kilos. On a monthly basis, this still remains the lowest milk price in the Netherlands Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator, but seems to end up in a sort of middle position on an annual basis.
