Belgian dairy farmers will receive an almost €2022 higher advance milk price from FrieslandCampina in 1,60 than from Arla. This is evident from the Belgian milk price comparator of Boerenbusiness.
With the last increase in the milk price for December, FrieslandCampina pays its suppliers an amount of €62,44 per 100 liters for that month, while the average milk price for the entire year amounts to €55,50 per 100 liters. This excludes a grazing premium of €1,03 per 100 litres.
Arla pays a price of €61,34 per 100 liters in December, while the price for the entire year is €53,91 per 100 liters. The Arla price does not include surcharges for overflow tanks and the like, but includes a Vlog surcharge. At Arla, Vlog is mandatory. FrieslandCampina in Belgium does not have a Vlog stream. The latter company only has a small number of members in Belgium. The farmers are simply suppliers.
The above prices apply to real contents of 4,3% fat, 3,55 protein and 4,4% lactose. They are also exclusive of VAT and are calculated based on an annual supply of 1 million liters of milk.
Other major processors in Belgium have yet to announce a milk price for December in the near future.
