The milk price for January at the legal Belgian contents will be reduced to €54,00 per 100 liters. The legal levels are 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein. At actual levels of 4,3% fat and 3,5% protein, which are used in practice in Belgium, the result is, according to the Boerenbusiness Belgian milk price calculator a price of €57,11 per 100 liters. This price therefore applies to an annual supply of 1,3 million liters and an associated volume surcharge.
RFC suppliers and members
FrieslandCampina and Arla currently pay a higher milk price in Belgium. FrieslandCampina pays a supplier price of €59,53 per 100 liters for January. Members receive €0,53 per 100 kilos more. There is no supplier discount for them, which is applied in Belgium for non-members.
Arla members receive a milk price of €60,60 per 100 liters in January. This does include a Vlog premium of €1,55 per 100 liters and a (also mandatory) climate check premium of €1,03 per 100 liters.
